Wood & Clay, Inc. of Gilford, New Hampshire has been chosen Millwork Masters' Builder of the Month.
John Robinson founded Wood & Clay, Inc. 25 years ago with his wife. He built his own passive solar home before the energy crisis of the 1970s and, given current fuel price trends, believes the need for energy efficiency is stronger than ever.
Today, Wood & Clay, Inc. builds high-end, energy-efficient, custom homes in the Lake Winnipesaukee area and Boston's western suburbs. Among the energy efficient techniques Robinson uses are a double 2" x 4" wall construction and Marvin windows. "House owners prefer to put their money into insulation rather than heating," says Robinson. "The tight window construction of Marvin windows helps with air infiltration and increases the R-value."
"I use only Marvin Windows and Doors because only Marvin can supply the quality I need. And quality of service," says Robinson, "is why I work with Millwork Masters."
